WHY I COACH
I enjoy creating experiences with players like the experiences I received as a player. I like coaching notes because I can act like a big kid in the ice with them. I also love being apart of create a younger new skates foundation for hockey.
Coaching Approach
My approach is simple, work hard, have fun, and respect and discipline. We should try our hardest at what we are doing. Some we are going to work hard. Let’s have fun doing it. Even though we are working hard and having fun. We still want to be respectful and show discipline to our teammates and others.
Coaching Experience
Most years I’ve coached have involved Mites. I focus on keeping an open mind and listen to other people’s view on hockey.
I started coaching in LTS at Rink Side (Top Shelf). From there I went to Glacier and coached LTS, was house level director of mites, and coached at the mites and squirts level. From Glacier I went to the Vipers and became a skills coordinator. I came to the Komets because that’s where I first played hockey.
Previous coaching experience includes running skill sessions for Maulers; house level Director, coached, and was part of impact at Glacier assisting with clinics. Head coach of the top JV Highland Park High School team. Skills coordinator for Vipers as well as a coach for the travel teams. Second in charge for Precision AAA and led clinics, skills sessions and tournament teams for Precision AAA.
I’m also the owner of Hass Hockey where I run 1 on 1, small group, small clinics.
Playing Experience
Played AAA hockey, Junior A hockey, and low-minor pro hockey.
