K2 Jamboree Winter

The Kenosha Komets are thrilled to announce we will be hosting our K2 Invitational Jamboree with the following levels:

• 6U
• 8U Red
• 8U Blue

All K2 Invitational Jamborees have been sanctioned by USA Hockey. All teams must be registered with USA Hockey and must submit a copy of their official USA Hockey roster a minimum of two weeks prior to the tournament start date.

All games will be played at the home of the Kenosha Komets, the Kenosha Ice Arena.

• Teams will be considered for the tournament on a first paid basis by completing registration, paying the entire registration fee, and providing team tournament roster
• Please email a copy of your team USA Hockey Roster to our Tournament Director at tournaments@kenoshakomets.com no later than two weeks prior to your tournament date. Those teams failing to do so by that deadline will be required to supply proof of age verification forms or birth certificates at check-in on the first day of the tournament.
• Once paid and confirmed, there will be no refunds unless a paid replacement team is found. If a replacement team is found, a $100 service fee will be deducted from the refunded entry fee.
• If a tournament sells out, we will place other entries on a standby waitlist and confirmation of entry will be provided once the waitlist decision has been made
• We do not charge an admission/gate fee but do ask that you patronize our concessions stand for some tasty treats and fun raffles - and don't forget our rink donut contest! The winning team's coach will don the Rink Donut King costume!

• This is a “Grow the Game Event” meant to develop the skills of the players involved and grow their love of the game with as many puck touches as possible!!
• As a USA Hockey Sanctioned Jamboree, all teams must provide an official USA Hockey Roster at least one week prior to the event.
• All teams are guaranteed a minimum of three games.
• All teams will be given a locker room to use for each game. It is the team’s responsibility to ensure the locker room is clean and in good condition prior to leaving. 
• All players must wear neck guards at all times on the ice. This will be strongly enforced by the referees.
• The Home team will wear their light colored jersey and the Away team will wear their dark colored jersey. Home Team will be listed first on the schedule.
• All Teams will be given a three minute warm-up period, please do not go on the ice until the referees give you permission.
• Each game will consist of 3-15 minute periods with running clocks and line changes every 90 seconds at the sound of the buzzer. 
• There will be a 2 minute break between each period.
• No score will be kept on the scoreboard and there will not be any “Champions” but all the kids will leave feeling like they won!!
• We ask that only coaches, or those designated by coaches to assist with the line changes be in the players’ bench area.

We will have a skills competition in the middle of the day on Saturday that is open to all players! Cost for the skills competition will be $5 per player and will consist of an obstacle course race and a fastest skater race! Medals will be awarded to the top 3 from each birth year! Registration will be available at check-in! 

SKILLS RULES

• Skills comp will use boards and have a relay race on one side of the ice and timed skating on the other side of the ice going continuously with times on the bench.
• When they complete the relay race they will go through the door on the boards and wait to do the fasts skater on the other half of the ice. 

Our goal for this Jamboree is that all the players have FUN and learn to LOVE this game of hockey even more than they did before this weekend!!
