Coach Hardy Wagner

Having played forward at a young age and transitioning to defense as I got older, I bring a well-rounded understanding of the game, along with a strong foundation in power skating and edge work. I’ve also had the opportunity to learn from a number of high-level coaches throughout my playing career, which has shaped my approach and attention to detail.

I emphasize doing things the right way, while helping players build confidence through positive reinforcement and constructive criticism. My goal is to develop habits and mindset that not only improve performance on the ice, but also carry over into life off the ice.

Coach Wagner currently holds professional certifications and training levels to include USA Hockey 16/18/19 & Under.

CEP Level: Level 1 Coach

I coach youth hockey because it’s a chance to help players build confidence, work ethic, and a love for the game at a young age. At a young level, it’s not just about winning, it’s about developing skills, having fun, and creating habits that carry beyond the rink.

At the younger levels, my focus is on building a strong foundation through skill development and confidence, helping players fall in love with the game while improving.

As they grow, the focus shifts toward understanding the game, building leadership qualities, and learning how to contribute to a team environment to achieve success together.

Coach Wagner has received multiple positive comments from both players and parents about the coaching approach he has and for pushing/believing in kids with many expressing that they hope he remains within the organization moving forward.
