Hockey Moms 101

This course is being offered to hockey moms to come out and learn how to play the game that their children LOVE!

Focused skills Moms will learn include:

  • get up off the ice
  • forward stride
  • glide turns
  • moving backwards
  • snowplow stop
  • stick handling
  • puck control

Coach

Coach Scott Kelley brings years of experience to the Komets. He has coached all ages and talent levels from Learn to Skate, Development, Silver Mites through Midgets, and Adult women from Hockey Moms who never skated to former college players, including NCAA Division 1 players.

Equipment

Full gear is recommended, but the minimum gear required to participate is:

  • Hockey Helmet with Full Cage
  • Neck Guard
  • Hockey Gloves
  • Elbow Pads
  • Shin Guards
  • Hockey Skates

Each mom MUST have their own, unique USA Hockey confirmation number and will need their current USA Hockey number before they will be able to register for the course.

To obtain a USA Hockey number:

  • Step 1: Click the link below to register with USA Hockey
  • Step 2: Print and save the confirmation code(s)
  • Step 3: Return to this registration and enter your USA Hockey number when asked
